Rudbøl grænsekro
Rudbøl grænsekro
It all started back in 1711
__________
Rudbøl originally had three inns, of which the two are still in operation.
Rudbøl Grænsekro is today on the Danish side, while Rosenkrantz is located on the German side of the border.
Rudbøl Grænsekro is located just off Rudbøl lake, in a scenic area, just a hundred meters from the Danish / German border. The history of the inn dates back to before 1711 with the nature of the marsh right next to the door.
The long story is still there. When you enter the inn, it has to a great extent preserved its cozy atmosphere.
The inn has been run since 1993 by Anette Marie Wendicke and Paul Wendicke, who have put a virtue in driving the inn further in the same spirit that has been throughout the many years. The old innkeeper Hans Peter Wendicke, who has previously been a grocery store in Rudbøl, from when the border trade was reversed, and the Germans came up and visited us, is still often taken to the inn, and is always ready to tell a story about the inn and the area as It was once. Hans Peter is also known to be the one who still comes with all the good advice on where Black Sol can be seen March / April and September / October.
We look forward to your visit.
Yours sincerely
Familien Wendicke

More than just good story
__________
There is a reason why, Rudbøl Grænsekro is called a South Jutland gem in the Wadden Sea National Park.
This is because the inn offers something completely unique.
In addition to the beautiful nature, and the fresh air you do not find similar to other places in Denmark, we also have a restaurant that is extremely well-visited in the local area, and is known for its good old Danish dishes, as well as the more modern dishes.
We offer both smørrebrød for lunch and the more traditional dishes as Viennese snacks for dinner.
The border area has 235 beds spread over apartments, old village houses and hotel rooms.
At the inn you will find both an indoor pool for both children and adults, with sauna and solarium. As well as table tennis, billiards, outdoor giant chess, and petanque. All in all, the ideal framework for holidays, conferences, courses and companies.
